Capitalism Killed Me
October 26, 2018 12:00 am Leave your thoughts
Capitalism killed me
I’m not afraid to say
Capitalism killed me
It screamed and made me pay
Capitalism killed me
It took away my voice
Capitalism killed me
There was no other choice
Capitalism killed me
It made me bleed and bleed
Each cut cut deeper,
My body tired and weak
Capitalism killed me
It made my heart grow numb
Capitalism killed me
It tore out my aching lungs
Capitalism killed me
It brainwashed the young
Capitalism killed me
It held a loaded gun
Capitalism killed me
It split my head in two
Capitalism killed me
There was nothing I could do
I fought, I pushed, I begged, I cried
But then it just increased its stride
The hands it took so long to hold, couldn’t stay
Their souls were sold
Capitalism killed me
I can’t, and won’t deny
That Capitalism killed me
It laughed
It let me die
