End U.S. Budgetary Funding For Neo-Nazis In Ukraine!

On December 16th, 2020, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution put forward by the Russian Federation for “Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.” https://www.un.org/en/ga/third/69/docs/voting_sheets/L56.Rev1.pdf

Sounds like something any logical person would be able to get behind right? Apparently Western liberal democracies are not so logical.

The entire European Union abstained from the vote… And the ONLY countries to vote against this resolution… were Canada, the United States, and Ukraine. [https://kvankampen.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/picture17.png]

How could these countries which fought against fascism during the Second World War think it’s a bad idea to combat fascist ideologies in the 21st century?

Well, American and Canadian representatives to the United Nations said Nazis deserve freedom of speech just like the rest of us. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2014/11/26/canada-united-nations-nazism-resolution_n_6228152.html

As for Ukraine, they said the bill didn’t bring any attention to so-called “Communist crimes” in the country.

But I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Their decision to oppose combating the resurgence of fascism around the world doesn’t have to do with freedom or some vague crimes of the country’s soviet past.

It has everything to do with the West’s political, economic, and moral support for ultra-right wing neo-nazi groups in Ukraine. More than $5 billion of American taxpayer money has been spent to advance U.S. foreign policy interests in the country. [https://uploads.concordia.net/2017/03/08152229/victoria-nuland.jpg]

That’s according to the U.S. State Department’s own Victoria Nuland.

She became infamous after her discussion with the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine got leaked. They were talking about who they were going to put in power once the smoke from the 2014 Maidan coup d’etat cleared.

Much of that money has made its way, both directly and indirectly, in the form of money and weapons, into the hands of armed neo-nazi groups in Ukraine…

And ALL that money is apparently recorded in the US military budget. This isn’t anything out of the ordinary for Washington though. It’s been like this since fascism was defeated in 1945. Where did the Nazis who outlived Hitler run? Did they flee to the socialist world? Of course not!

They would’ve been executed for the genocidal atrocities they committed on the Eastern Front. So, naturally, they felt right at home in the anti-communist West, which was then of course gearing up for Cold War against its former soviet allies.

Maybe you didn’t know this, but the first head of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO, was a former Nazi named Hans Spiedel. [https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/27/Bundesarchiv_Bild_146-2004-0024,_Hans_Speidel.jpg / https://www.akg-images.co.uk/Docs/AKG/Media/TR3_WATERMARKED/e/0/5/0/AKG338881.jpg ]

Another ex-Nazi named Reinhard Gehlen led a post war anti-communist terrorist organization that was backed by the CIA. [https://static.dw.com/image/675369_404.jpg].

Gerhard Von Mende, the mastermind who organized anti-communist fifth columns behind soviet lines during the second world war, became a CIA collaborator. The list goes on but…

If you want to learn more about some of these people, I made a video including information about some of these Nazis – you can find the link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39fuimQeIX0&t=2s

Anyway let’s get back to Ukraine specifically. During the war, there were thousands of anti-fascist heroes in some provinces, like Odessa, more than others. [https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/0d/Soviet_guerilla.jpg/500px-Soviet_guerilla.jpg]

They were partisans who took up arms against their invaders and worked closely with the Soviet armed forces to liberate the country.
On the other hand, West Ukraine was a hotbed for Nazi collaboration. A number of collaborationist organizations formed, like the auxiliary police which tried to hunt down partisans…[https://img6.eadaily.com/r640x640/o/de4/8f5f92872e194083828a4a4147ce4.jpg]

The Waffen SS Division ‘Galicia’ made up primarily of Ukrainians and responsible for massacres of Jews and other ethnic minorities…[https://canadiandimension.com/images/made/images/articles/_resized/Galician_SS_large_800_577_90.jpg]

But the main organization that collaborated with the Nazis was called the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. [https://www.historyanswers.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Ukrainian-nationalist-1941-1.jpg]

After 1939, it began receiving weapons and funding to conduct an insurgency behind soviet lines. Two years later when Nazi Germany began to invade the USSR. The organization’s leader, Stepan Bandera, declared an independent Ukraine. [https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0d/SBandera.jpg].

Almost immediately after, Bandera was thrown into a German concentration camp. AND STILL – he continued to collaborate with the Nazis, who allowed him to command his collaborator militants from the camp. Bandera’s insurgency carried out mass exterminations of poles and jews, killing around 70,000 civilians during the summer of 1943 alone. https://archive.schillerinstitute.com/strategic/2014/0204-ukraine-fact_sheet.html

After the war, Bandera and his group were recruited by British Intelligence and began another years-long insurgency within the Soviet Union. We even know of MI6 reports from the time praising Bandera. One called him a, “professional underground worker with a terrorist background and ruthless notions about the rules of the game.” It took the KGB up until 1959 to finally assassinate the guy.

And in the end the U.S. accepted immigration requests from around 80,000 anti soviet Ukrainian nationalists, many, if not most, of whom were nazi collaborators, asociated with the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists.

Today’s neo-nazi groups in the country view Stepan Bandera and his organization as HEROES. They either try to downplay their collaboration or outright say the Nazis weren’t so bad. The main neo nazi groups we’re talking about here are:

Right Sector – a neo-nazi political party whose paramilitary wing is directly descended from Bandera’s Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/media/images/73954000/jpg/_73954909_73954908.jpg

The Svoboda Party – widely known for its anti semetic and fascist views. https://s1.ibtimes.com/sites/www.ibtimes.com/files/styles/lg/public/2014/02/19/svoboda.jpg
The state funded C-14 militia https://www.mintpressnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/322257_edited.jpg

And the Azov Battalion – an armed Neo-nazi group that is now a part of the regular military of Ukraine. It also follows in the legacy of Bandera. https://zen.yandex.ru/lz5XeGt8f/M1q5sq670/96f5b4M5chH5/lBtoYconBiT8APuLoo4lV6BTZvq8Iq-NYUyTscnTRGT1rlUSIKGY-wGKTXG2aSIGzKwhcBT94laf2tjGyGYF-JS6nIGOInIh_QSsniKKJLNVU6OK-IYKDWBNZsGIx9Dk8MjQBiGlXf70vJ0xxkjXBo2-xvDjC6YSq624gPiQE2qQ_g4gewWExY4gzxrj3GFXshNF2M633iwiuyOTGjT2VrYNtRHR5e6cJp3aVlP9MISeneYSEullkPmtapF7UcA5Me0s07hkRiew

These organizations became major influences on Ukrainian politics – after the 2014 Maidan Coup d’etat in Kiev, which was actively backed by Washington and NATO. Since then, these groups have actively exercised pressure on the government – even threatening to overthrow it in 2016.

These are the main reasons why Donetsk and Lugansk declared themselves autonomous Peoples’ Republics. And are now seeking full political and economic integration with Russia. They speak Russian and consider themselves inheritors of the anti-fascist soviet partisan legacy.

And West Ukraine has been blockading much of their water as well as electricity supplies. So naturally, they’ve been fighting an unwavering struggle against the Kiev government and the neo-nazi groups that help prop it up.

I’m just going to focus on the Azov Battalion because they’re the most significant and have received the most support from the US. But I will make some passing comments about the others.

Azov’s directly received things like anti-tank rocket launchers, light vehicles and even field training from Washington – courtesy of all of you, American taxpayers.

Sergeant Ivan Kharkiv from the Azov Battalion gave an interview to The Daily Beast, where he talks about how the U.S. helped train the battalion in the field. https://www.thedailybeast.com/is-america-training-neonazis-in-ukraine

He said they sent medics and engineers. Kharkiv also mentioned the Ukrainian diaspora has been a big help. Remember those Ukrainian collaborators who fled retribution from the USSR? Well – we’re talking about a lot of their descendents. It seems like Azov and Washington don’t want people to know about their relationship though. [https://i1.wp.com/www.mintpressnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/unnamed_edited.jpg?resize=1100,590&ssl=1]

Despite accounts like Sergeant Kharkiv’s story and a mountain of other evidence, the founder of Azov, Andrei Biletsky, says quote “American army representatives do not train and had never trained the battalion.”

By the way – here’s an unrelated quote from Biletsky: “The historic mission of our nation in this critical moment is to lead the white races of the world in a final crusade for their survival…a crusade against the semite-let untermenschen.”

When Press Officer Yarina Ferentsevych of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine was asked about – whether or not the U.S. is training the Azov battalion, she had some vague response not saying no – but as if trying to downplay training neo-nazis in general. She said: “our vetting screens are for human rights violations, not for ideology. Neo-Nazis, you know, can join the U.S. army too. The battalions that are in question have been integrated as part of Ukraine’s National Guard, so the idea is that they would be eligible for training.”

Technically the U.S. banned military aid to Azov in 2018. But like Ferentsevych said – it’s been integrated into the Ukrainian National Guard; that’s part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces – people who DO receive supplies, armaments, and training from the U.S. government.

To think that aid intended for armed groups on the National Ukrainian military budget would not go to official organizations of the Ukrainian military is just naive. But like I said before, there are a number of U.S. friendly neo-nazi groups in Ukraine. [https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/0e/Oleh_Tyahnybok_September_2014.jpg/800px-Oleh_Tyahnybok_September_2014.jpg].

The Svoboda Party’s leader Oleg Tyahnybok once claimed that a quote “Jewish-Muscovite mafia” was in control of Ukraine. [https://i.insider.com/52af53516bb3f7a73c43dd69?width=1200&format=jpeg]. You can see pictures of him beside former U.S. senator John McCain and current senator Chris Murphy in Maidan Square in Kyiv.

That’s the same party that has nationalist indoctrination camps for young children in the country. https://apimagesblog.com/blog/2018/11/12/training-kids-to-kill-at-ukrainian-nationalist-camp?fbclid=IwAR06RbA953kix1k0z43HoEXuUsvLfFdpeIeBVOp0oprf7qCiBZ_sX4w-sH8&format=amp&fbclid=IwAR3KL60H8Qk_5bsFpNxuZ5RkRaJWr1w83YeDTvfdX8nrcX2cPACoNAQeusA&__twitter_impression=true

Is America Training Neonazis in Ukraine?

Officially no, but no one in the U.S. government seems to know for sure.

The western media – U.S. and EU Governments – only legitimized the violence as part of their narrative portraying maidan as a righteous revolution. Even the ANTI-DEFAMATION LEAGUE refused to support a congressional ban on U.S. arms sales to that organization. It said, “the focus should be on Russia.” https://thegrayzone.com/2018/11/15/blowback-how-us-funded-fascists-in-ukraine-mentor-us-white-supremacists/

To me it’s unacceptable that our government not only keeps silent about neo-nazi violence across Ukraine, but has also been complicit in their crimes. Washington gives platforms for these Neo-nazis to spread their ideas [https://thegrayzone.com/2018/11/15/blowback-how-us-funded-fascists-in-ukraine-mentor-us-white-supremacists/ ].

In the Embassy to Ukraine, in State Department funded think tanks, U.S. supplies, weapons, and taxpayer dollars are still finding their way into the hands of these groups.

The fascist threat is far from over in Ukraine.

The American Left should support the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics in their struggle against NATO backed fascism – and understand that Russia is not our enemy. http://www.liederlexikon.de/lieder/brueder_zur_sonne_zur_freiheit/editionb

We must also demand that the US government stop using our taxpayer money to fund Ukrainian Neo-Nazis!
